Virtewe is operated by Emma Jo Holdings, Inc. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when people use Virtewe websites, applications, and related services.
Information we collect
We may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, mobile phone number, profile information, and the content of Nods you send or receive. A Nod may include a selected virtue, recipient information, a short message, delivery channel, and related metadata.
We may also collect basic technical information such as browser type, device information, IP address, access times, and usage activity to operate, secure, and improve Virtewe.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Operate and provide Virtewe;
- Allow users to send and receive Nods;
- Authenticate users and manage accounts;
- Send service-related email or text notifications;
- Prevent abuse, spam, fraud, and unauthorized use;
- Improve the product experience; and
- Comply with legal, security, and operational obligations.
SMS and mobile phone numbers
Virtewe may send SMS text messages when a user chooses to share a Nod by text. Message frequency varies based on user activity. Message and data rates may apply. Recipients can reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help.
We may use service providers, such as messaging and infrastructure providers, to help deliver Virtewe messages and operate the service. These providers are used to support Virtewe operations and are not authorized to use mobile numbers or SMS consent for their own marketing.
How information may be shared
We may share information as needed to provide Virtewe. For example, a Nod recipient may see the sender’s name, selected virtue, and message. We may also share information with vendors who help us host the service, send email, deliver text messages, analyze product performance, or protect against abuse.
We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Virtewe, our users, or others.
Public and shared content
Some Nods or profile information may be visible to other users or the public depending on product settings and choices made by users. Please use care when sharing personal information in Nod messages.
Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Children
Virtewe is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete it.
Your choices
You may contact us to request help with your account or information. SMS recipients may reply STOP to opt out of text messages. You may also contact us at admin@virtewe.com.
Changes to this policy
